Gap analysis and implementation plan
I start by reviewing what already works in your company. The output is a list of gaps against the standard and a schedule with concrete dates.
Ireneusz Kozera - ISO lead auditor and quality and certification adviser. I guide companies through the whole process: gap analysis, documentation, training and the certification audit itself.

The scope is agreed before the project starts, so it is clear who owns which part of the implementation.

Procedures describe how your company actually works rather than repeating a template. The documentation should be used after certification, not shelved.
I train management representatives and internal auditors so the organisation can maintain the system between surveillance audits.
I take part in the audit run by the certification body and help close any corrective actions.
Since 2008 I have implemented, maintained and certified management systems compliant with ISO standards and HACCP. I work with manufacturers, service companies and public sector bodies.
I treat an implementation as a business process optimisation project, not as document production for an audit. A well designed system shortens decision paths, reduces errors and clarifies responsibilities.

Every area is handled from analysing the requirements of the standard to readiness for the certification audit.
Structured processes, repeatable service delivery and business process optimisation measured by complaint rates and lead times.

Since 2008 I have run management system implementations and audits - for manufacturers, service companies and public institutions across Poland.
A management system survives only when the team understands why it exists. Alongside training on the requirements of the standards, I run sessions on internal communication and information flow between departments.
Training on the requirements of the standard for management
Internal auditor training with a practical part
Internal communication training: information flow, reporting non-conformities, cross-department cooperation
Usually between 2 and 6 months. The timeline depends on the size of the organisation, the number of sites and how many processes are already documented. The schedule is set after the gap analysis, so you know the certification audit date from the start.
Bringing the organisation to a state where it meets the requirements of the standard and can evidence it. This covers the gap analysis, procedures, team training, an internal audit and the management review. Only then is the company submitted to a certification body.
A lead auditor plans and runs the audit, assesses conformity of the management system with the standard and owns the findings and the report. In an implementation project, the same competence is used to anticipate what the certification body will ask before it arrives.
No. A certificate is normally issued for 3 years, with annual surveillance audits confirming the system is still working. After three years a recertification audit takes place.
HACCP is a hazard analysis system required by law from every food business. ISO 22000 is a certifiable standard that contains the HACCP principles and adds management system requirements: organisational context, objectives, internal audits and management review.
It should not. The work is planned around processes that already run, and the documentation describes how the company actually operates. The team is involved in a few workshops and training sessions; the rest I prepare on my side.

Tell me which standard you are considering and what your company does. I will tell you how long the implementation realistically takes and what is needed on your side.
